Backtrack is the most effective posture correction tool ever built for anyone at a desk. A machine-learning coach that watches your shoulders through your own camera and catches every slouch the instant it starts.
Three steps. Ten seconds of setup. Then just work normally.
Based on research from the European Journal of Social Psychology, PMC, and psychophysiology studies on postural awareness.
Most users see their average posture quality climb steadily. Here's the realistic timeline from our beta cohort.
Posture hardware is expensive, easy to forget, and works in one spot. Backtrack uses gear you already own.

Honest feedback from our beta cohort.
"I've tried two posture wearables and a $30 chair cushion. This is the first thing that actually stuck. The alerts are annoying enough to work but gentle enough that I don't hate the app."
"Neck pain I'd had for two years is mostly gone after six weeks. I'm not saying it was magic, I'm saying I finally became aware every single time I was slouching, which I never was before."
"The fact that it runs locally was the selling point for me. I work with client data all day and I'm not about to ship webcam frames to anyone's server. Looked under the hood, it really is on-device."
"Bought the Annual within an hour of trying it. The weekly report card is the feature that hooked me, seeing your line go up is stupidly motivating."
"Took me a day to find a sensitivity setting that worked for my desk setup, I'd leaned forward a little when calibrating. Once I re-did it, perfect. Support replied within an hour when I emailed."
"I hate apps that nag me. But this one only speaks up when I'm actually slouching, which is exactly the deal. My shoulders stopped aching around week 3."
Why one frustrated founder built a software-only posture fix.
Backtrack was built by Sean Vierthin 2026 after two years of on-and-off neck pain and a $70 wearable that lived in a drawer. The premise is simple: you already own a webcam, and modern on-device AI is good enough to watch your posture without sending a single frame anywhere. So that's what we did.
Most posture products are either hardware you forget to wear, or coaching apps that guilt you. Neither works because the hardest part of fixing posture is noticing the moment you slouch. Backtrack's entire job is to reliably notice, gently alert, and get out of the way for as many workdays as it takes for upright to become your default.
We made a deliberate architectural choice: run the model in your browser. It's slightly harder to build than a cloud pipeline, but it means we never have to promise not to look at your video, because we literally can't. We don't want that liability, and neither do you.
We're shipping Apple Health + Google Fit integrations, a mobile companion app for reviewing stats, and team plans for remote-first companies. Every feature we ship preserves the on-device guarantee.
